Holistic therapy is a generic term for any treatment / therapy session that is intended to treat the individual as a whole on all levels - mind, body and spirit. Most complementary therapies could be regarded as holistic As the name suggests, complimentary health is a term used to describe a health practice that compliments or is used together or in conjunction with traditional or conventional medicine. Some of the well known branches of alternative and complimentary health include Chinese medicine, naturopathy, acupressure, homoeopathy, reflexology, aromatherapy, massage and bodywork, ayurvedic medicine, and nutritional medicine.Massage therapy can work wonders for people with back pain. It may not always be the best choice, and it may not work for everyone. But most people will get great results if the massage therapist has a good understanding of the human body, muscle imbalances, and how to work with them.
